Mark Halliday - Rhod Talks and Exhibition
Speaking about his work at the Small World Theatre in Cardigan on 23 May at 6.30pm, Mark will then be making a new work at Rhôd 2014 – The Exhibition / Yr Arddangosfa. The exhibition runs Sunday 25 – Saturday 31 May 2014, opening at 2pm on 25 May and then 11 – 5 each day (except Saturday 31 May closes 4pm).

Screening sculpture as/in moving image
‘Are you sitting down? Screening sculpture in/as moving image’ is the final event of the ON YOUR MARKS season hosted by Pangaea Sculptors' Centre - London.
New British Arts' film Blue Bell Hangar by John Minton will feature at the event, alongside a wide range of films; fiction, documentary, art house and block buster. This curated program is sure to cast sculpture in an unusual light.

SATURDAY: The Feast - 3pm
The Feast will present a bounty of weird and wonderful eats. This elaborate display will create a grotesque backdrop to a live performance. Before Mark and Anna invite the audience to tuck in.
SUNDAY: Grand Opening – 3pm
We will be joined by neighbours Will and Wendy Thomas. They run the neighbouring farm and will be bringing with them; the bull (featured on the flyer) along with a cow. A special presentation to the cow will be made and a bronze will be poured; opening the exhibition and celebrating Cilyrynys as a venue.
The featured events will commence at 3pm on each day. However, please feel free to make a day of it. We officially open at Midday on Saturday and Sunday when you can view the artworks and explore the buildings and land around Cilyrynys. We will be showing films in the Dutch barn at dusk
IMPIOUS - INVITATION TO EXHIBITION
New British Art invite you to join them at their Carmarthenshire base Cilyrynys, to celebrate new artworks produced by Mark Halliday & Anna Hayes on the 3rd and 4th of August 2013. The event will open from midday on the 3rd and a full itinerary for the weekend will be available soon. Funded by the Arts Council of Wales as part of the Exchange Project, the exhibition includes sculpture, painting and performance.

THE EXCHANGE PROJECT
New British Art is pleased to announce the commencement of the Exchange project. Funded by the Arts Council of Wales, this first Exchange will enable recent graduate Anna Hayes to work alongside Mark Halliday over a period of 8 weeks at Cilyrynys Farm, culminating in an exhibition of their work during the summer. A subsidised bronze casting workshop will also take place during this period. The project will help to cement the group's base at the farm and mark the start of a developing residential studio and exhibiting facility there.

BLUE BELL HANGAR PROJECT
New British Art is pleased to announce the release of the film of The Blue Bell Hangar Project. The collaborative project began in 2010 when the group set out to create a sculpture and a series of outcomes, reflections and events around a celebrated experimental kite called The Cygnet, made by Alexander Graham Bell at the turn of the 20th Century. THE INDEPENDENT ART SCHOOL FOR WALES
The Independent Art School for Wales is a new project set up by Mark Halliday and Luke Mintowt-Czyz, along with the painter Cherry Pickles. WALES AT THE VENICE BIENNALE OF ART
New British Art have been short-listed to represent Wales at the 54th Venice Biennale to be held in summer 2011 with their project proposal Sal Venezia.
BLUE BELL HANGAR PROJECT
New British Art would like to thank everyone that attended the show in March.
The event was documented by award winning film maker John Minton. The film is currently in production and will be released alongside a publication in the near future.
