Impious: Mark Halliday & Anna Hayes

3 & 4 August 2013
Exhibition of artwork at Cilyrynys

The exhibition featured work created by Mark Halliday and Anna Hayes during a period of time spent working alongside each other as part of the Exchange Project. The work included a series of paintings by Anna and sculpture and prints by Mark.

The two also collaborated on an event on Saturday 3 August - The Feast, which presented a bounty of weird and wonderful eats that created a grotesque backdrop to a live performance. Mark and Anna then invited the audience to tuck in.

Sunday, 4 August, saw the grand opening of the event. Will and Wendy Thomas, who run the neighbouring farm, joined the event bringing a special guest of honour - Rosie the cow.

A special presentation to the cow was made; opening the exhibition and celebrating Cilyrynys as a venue. Will and Wendy also brought along the bull featured on the flyer and visitors to the exhibition were able to see him with his pedigree cow and calf on display.
